Network Manager - Kings League
Seeking a Network Manager in Barcelona to lead IT infrastructure for Kings League, ensuring high-performance connectivity across events and supporting global broadcast operations.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Network Manager to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our network infrastructure across Kings League’s offices, venues, and live productions. Based in Barcelona, this role is crucial in supporting both permanent and temporary environments, ensuring secure, high-performance connectivity that meets the demands of live broadcasts, esports, and dynamic entertainment productions. You will work closely with internal departments and external vendors to deliver robust, scalable networks that power operations both locally and at international events.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and deploy secure and scalable LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks across offices, stadiums, and temporary event setups.
- Configure and manage switches, routers, access points, and firewalls, ensuring high availability and redundancy.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance using diagnostic tools and real-time analytics.
- Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures for internal and external use.
- Collaborate with IT, Broadcast, and Production teams to ensure infrastructure meets live streaming and distribution demands.
- Coordinate and execute network deployments at international venues and events, including live shows and esports tournaments.
- Implement and maintain network security policies aligned with best practices, including segmentation and intrusion detection.
- Provide second-level technical support, managing escalated incidents related to network connectivity and performance.
- Maintain broadcast-focused network infrastructure for audio/video distribution including protocols such as NDI, DANTE, SMPTE 2110, and IP routing.
- Support failover systems, link bonding, and streaming delivery across platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and others.
- Willingness to travel internationally to support global Kings League operations.
Requirements
- Degree or technical training in Networking, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of proven experience in network administration within high-performance or broadcast/media environments.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade networking hardware such as Cisco, Fortinet, HPE Aruba, and Ubiquiti.
- Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Deep understanding of media and streaming infrastructure for broadcast distribution, including experience with NDI, DANTE, SMPTE 2110/2110-7, and IP-based workflows.
- Experience with managing infrastructure for live streaming and esports distribution, including failover systems and bonded networks.
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, live event and multimedia production environments.
- Intermediate technical English, with the ability to read documentation and coordinate internationally.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles including secure network architecture, segmentation, and access policies.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of SD-WAN, corporate VPNs, or MPLS networks is highly desirable.
