Kings League Brazil is looking for a Legal Counsel (Manager Level) to support its local operations while working closely with global teams across multiple departments.

This role is ideal for a lawyer who thrives in a high-intensity, business-embedded environment, values collaboration, and is comfortable balancing legal rigor with operational reality.

The Legal Counsel will be part of the Legal team in Brazil and will act as a key legal business partner to multiple internal stakeholders, while maintaining close alignment with the global Legal team.

The Role

This is a hands-on position, with direct exposure to senior leadership, fast-paced decision-making, and complex commercial arrangements typical of a growing international sports and entertainment organization.

Main Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements.

• Provide day-to-day legal support to local teams, primarily commercial and operations, balancing legal risk with business objectives.

• Support large-scale live events and competitions, including agreements related to venues, logistics, security, broadcasting and event production.

• Advise on intellectual property matters, including licensing, marketing activations, music- related issues, digital content and brand usage.

• Coordinate and manage external counsel as neededd, including budget oversight and strategic alignment.

• Support internal governance, compliance and risk-management processes, including conflict-of-interest assessments and reputational risk analysis.

• Review, localize and adapt global templates to comply with local legal requirements and operational realities.

• Act as a legal interface between local teams and global stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Kings League standards and policies.

• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with overlapping deadlines and evolving scopes.

• Play an active role in improving legal processes, templates, and workflows as the organization continues to build and refine its structure.

Requirements

• Brazilian-qualified lawyer with active OAB registration.

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in an in-house legal department and/or a top-tier law firm.

• Solid experience with commercial contracts and negotiations.

• Fluent English is mandatory, with the ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements.

• Mandatory proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

• High level of professionalism, ethics and discretion.

• Highly organized, reliable and capable of handling multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships across teams and cultures.

• Comfortable operating in an environment where structures are evolving and priorities can shift quickly.

• Experience in people management, prioritization, and conflict management is highly valued.

• Spanish is a plus.

• Availability to work onsite in Guarulhos three times per week.
